CNSG sponsored many HF experiments that utilized WWV and WWVH. These projects included testing ionospheric propagation models, measuring ionospheric movement induced doppler shift on HF signals, assessing HF time-difference of arrival geopositioning techniques, and calibrating HFDF systems. The working group asks amateur radio operators and shortwave listeners to record the IQ of this special WWV/WWVH signal. Beyond the data collected, the working group is trying to give WWV an new, scientific on-air purpose.
