I don't know which receiver is in the GPS-4.  Open yours up and take a peek...  I do know the GPS-4 uses $PFEC commands.  I have a 8031 and Lady Heather works with it.  I have an 8037, but don't know what command set it uses... yet.

Would these other modules be compatible with the controller and firmware

in the GPS-4? I wasn't sure if they all used the same commands and responses.

Hi,

My GPS-4 has a FURUNO GT-80 receiver, as per the subject line.

The receiver module says "GT-80B5F". I was hoping I might somehow be able
to find a replacement receiver, to repair the GPS-4. The GT-80 is getting
power, just seems to have gone deaf in terms of satellite reception.

Alternatively, if someone here has a failed GPS-4 with some other problem,
maybe we can make a deal.
