Heather defaults to the unambiguous format 13 DEC 2016. There is a command for showing the date in the ISO format yyyy-ddd where ddd is the day of the year.
I just added back the yyyy-mm-dd format. It was in there at one time, but got lost somewhere along the way...
Why can't the world standardize of the Mayan long count? Heather can do that right now.
How did the Mayans deal with leap seconds?
