Solartron 7061 70616A self test option

Hello Folks,

sorry to make a nuissance of myself, but my trusty Solartron 7061 just
gave me a shock. Started the dude up for the fun of it and clicked
History, to be greeted with a message of "Analog Board Fail". Powered
off and on again, and the unit works again.

This, however, does not mean much as I have the MATE rom installed
(option 70615). What wonders me is that my meter does not have the
sticker for the 70616A, but does run the "Analog Test 28" to "Analog
Test 1" when asked to do so. And then, it dies either with Analog Board
Failed (when asked to do an SRU) or Self Test Fail (when asked for
Confidence or Full), only to resume measuring what seem to be plausible
values to me.

What is even more strange is that all versions of the operating manual
found online miss the section Chapter 1, 5.4 which is referenced in the
service manual. I now have a few questions:

a) does anyone have the missing page for me?

b) does anyone of you have an idea how to get the number of the self
test which failed?

c) could it be that the cal lab forgot to completely remove the 70616A
option from the unit when returning it to me?

I must send the unit to the cal lab in Madrid anyways in two months, but
my wife would like to know how long she has to stay in Madrid and so we
would like to know more about what dies.

All the best from Budapest
